Hello Bass Fisherman,

I have friends that live in Calverton and I can tell you first hand that Forge Pond is one of the best Largemouth Bass lakes in the state of NY. Yep, that's right. Like all lakes and ponds on Long Island, it is a shallow body of water but well over 100 acres.

Many bass have been taken over 6 pounds and it is also a flyrodders dream with poppers.

Mepps spinners and floating Rapalas are deadly. Look into this lake. It is so worth your time!!!
