It is true that the 79 plus pound Striper caught in NJ waters held the record for a LONG time. CT now enjoys the slap on the back. I hope the record continues to be broken for the benefit of the health of the species and the glorious pursuit of the angler. the largest striper ever recorded was 125 pds caught in a net. details - www.striperchum.com
